The sad truth is that us humans do know we are ruining things, but, wrapped up in our lives and with our minds consumed by lots of other every day stuff, we are very good at forgetting and ignoring things. We all know the glaciers are melting, but unless one actually decides to make a rather large detour and run by our house, we are highly unlikely to give them the same amount of thought as things like the latest bands and what’s for dinner.
